On behalf of the Governing Board of the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), I welcome you to this informative and investment-oriented website!

The Board is strategically composed and reflects the rich cultural and socio-economic diversity of the Middle Belt Development Zone (MBDZ). It comprises representatives from the Regional Houses of Chiefs within the Zone – Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Eastern Regions. Also represented on the Board are experienced personalities from Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Private Sector, Ministry of Finance, National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), and personalities with set skills and expertise appointed by the President.

The Governing Board, by section 4 of the enabling Act, Middle Belt Development Authority Act, 2017, Act 962 is mandated, inter alia, to give general directives on the management and operations of the Authority; in consultation with [the Office of the President] formulate [and review] policies necessary for the achievement of the objects of the Authority; to oversee the sound and proper management of resources of the Authority; and to ensure the effective performance of the functions of the Authority.

The Government is committed to accelerating development across the country and putting in measures to enhance living standards of citizens in all communities. The geographical position, the endowment of rich natural resources including fertile lands, gold, cocoa, cashew, the kente and pottery industrial potential of the Middle Belt Development Zone make it ideal for investment, industrialization and tourism.
The MBDA is mandated and equipped to facilitate partnerships, joint venture initiatives, towards the modernization of agriculture, stimulate investment and job creation and thereby accelerate development in our communities.
